We’ve all received phone calls from numbers we didn’t recognize. Sometimes you may miss calls, and you want to speak to the person again. Sometimes you may want to figure out how to make sure they never call you again.

As long as you have the area code and the seven digit number, you should be able to trace any cell phone number’s owner, if you know where to look…

A few days ago I received an email from my friend saying that, “In just 4 days from today all US. cell phone numbers will be released to telemarketing companies and you will begin to receive sales calls…”.

Well, that would be great news for those of us who were trying to find a free online directory that included mobile phone numbers!

Federal Trade Comission (FDC) followed up with a few different press releases - with the most recent saying, “Despite Re-Circulating E-mail, It is Still Not Necessary to Register Cell Phone Numbers” {in the do-not-call registry}. They go on to say, “Contrary to the e-mail, cell phone numbers are not being released to telemarketers, and you will not soon be getting telemarketing calls on your cell phone.”

So, this means that there is still no central database of mobile phone numbers and free reverse phone directories cannot return information on those numbers. You also won’t be able to get information on landline numbers that are unlisted or non-published.

That doesn’t mean that putting together a reverse cell phone directory is impossible. The truth is it can be done – and has been done. Putting such a database together, however, requires extensive time and money and that’s why such services – if they are legitimate – charge a fee to use them.

The most effective way to trace a cell phone number is through Reverse Phone Detective. Using this service, you’ll be able to find information on almost any number you enter. Reverse Phone Detective provides you with millions of records that you can access for only one fee. It’s no surprise that this is the service recommended by private investigators as the one service they use when they need to find out the origins of a phone number fast.

Even if you have an outdated phone number, you’ll still be able to use that number to search for the latest address for the individual using people search investigative tools available to members.

Nokia Twist Glows to Alert Users, to Launch for Verizon

By Nokitel. Posted in News | Comments Off

Nokia TwistVerizon plans to launch the Nokia Twist — a unique swivel phone with a “light ring” that glows to alert users of incoming calls and messages — on September 21.

The Basking Ridge, N.J.-based carrier said the Twist has a compact, minimulist design and opens to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard. Its large 2.4-inch display shows nature-inspired themes that change throughout the day, while external keys provide a slight vibrating response when a selection is made.

Additional features include a 3.0-megapixel auto-focus camera, access to Verizon’s VCAST Video, Music and Navigator services, stereo Bluetooth and a microSD expansion card slot.

On Wednesday, Nokia unveiled the N97 Mini, X6 and X3, new music phones that integrate Facebook’s social-networking service, and the Mural for AT&T, a clamshell that lights up in blue, red, green, orange, purple and pink colors to alert users of incoming events.

Although Nokia has weathered the global recession better than some handset makers, it is having to work harder to maintain its market lead amid increasing competition from Apple’s iPhone and Research in Motion’s BlackBerry.

Last week, the company announced its own high-end smartphone, the N900, running Linux software.

Verizon said the Nokia Twist will hit store shelves on September 21 for $150 with a two-year contract.

Reverse Cell Phone Lookup

By Nokitel. Posted in Articles | Comments Off

How Locate and Identify the Owner of Any Mobile Phone

If you are reading this, you are probably wondering how to do a reverse cell phone lookup. I won’t waste your time telling you the typical reasons why most people do this kind of search. You probably have your own reasons.

So, if you want to learn how to do this kind of search without getting ripped off by some of the fraudulent sites that exist on the Internet, just keep reading and you’ll find out all you need to know.

Reverse Cell Phone Lookup – Don’t Get Scammed

The first thing you need to learn about searching wireless numbers is that results of such searches are NOT free. That’s the long and short of it.

And the reason is simple.

Cell phone carriers like Nextel, Sprint, and Verizon do not provide directories to the public for the wireless numbers they service. They don’t publish a free directory and they also don’t publish a paid directory.

Instead, they lease their most current information to third party data brokers known as reverse cell phone directories. These directories sell the results to people like you and me. The wireless carriers aren’t the directories only source of information, but I can assure you the directories pay the largest amount of money to these carriers.

So, when someone like you or me comes along and wants access to the results of a reverse cell phone search, we have to pay a small fee for the reasons just discussed above.

And, with all that said, do you honestly think there are companies on the Internet that will undercut these directories so much that they will actually offer results for this kind of search for free? Of course not!

The sites that offer “free” results are actively looking for suckers who believe they can get results for free – despite the facts. These sites don’t give anything away. They always charge a fee in the end – and usually for outdated and inaccurate information. And sometimes they don’t even supply that. But they will still take your money.

So, if you are looking to get fast and accurate results for a reverse cell phone lookup, make sure you work with a reputable directory. What I look for in a good directory is one that doesn’t make me pay money up front to search through their database and also enables me to get all of my money back if I am not satisfied for any reason.

Cell Phone Number Reverse Lookup

By Nokitel. Posted in Articles | Comments Off

Most people don’t know that you can search by phone number to find out information about a person’s background. Full name, current address, relatives, neighbors, address history, and an assortment of public records can be obtained simply by entering their phone number into the reverse phone number search and clicking the Search button.

Your Choices…

Of course, to do a search by phone number you have several options. The first places most people go are the free reverse lookup services available all over the Internet. While these services are fine places to start, you’ll find they provide limited information on a very limited amount of numbers.

One problem with the free services is that they only work from databases containing public domain information, such as your landline number. If you want to do a search by phone numbers other than landline numbers, you won’t find any information on them.

You also won’t find information when you do a search by phone number at a free service for cell phone numbers, unlisted phone numbers, or VoIP numbers.

Most free reverse search services don’t update their information regularly. That means the information you do receive could no longer be accurate – and you’ll have reached a dead end in your search.

A more effective way to do a search by phone number is through a paid directory like Reverse Phone Detective. This service stands out as having one of the most comprehensive and accurate reverse cell phone search databases on the Internet. Just run a few Google searches and you’ll quickly discover they’re often the top-ranked reverse cell phone site online.

You’ll be able to access even more detailed information about the individual if you want. The members area includes access to hundreds of millions of public records through its expanded people search and investigation databases.

Reverse Phone Detective keeps its databases as up-to-date as possible, so you run little risk of finding invalid or outdated information. Membership includes other value-added services, such as access to other background information, expanded databases, and even family members. There is a 100% money back guarantee and no results – no charge policy.

Cell Phone Directory Lookup

By Nokitel. Posted in Articles | Comments Off

You just got a call on your cell, however you don’t know who it was. Is there a way to find out who was on the other line? If the number was already in your phone’s address book you would be fine – but we all know it’s not quite that simple. If you’re in this situation, your best bet is a reverse cellphone lookup. Reverse cellphone lookup sites simplify the proceess of tracing cell phone numbers back to the owners. Do you think it might be possible that your spouse is cheating? Have you seen some unusual calls on your child’s phone? Have you received harrassing prank calls from someone you don’t know? It really doesn’t matter why you need one, a reverse cellphone lookup will be able to track down the info you need. If you’re ready to find that caller, all you need to do is select a lookup site to use. You are going to find a bunch of sites out there that will do reverse lookups, however, they are only for landline numbers, like the ones in people’s homes. You already know this from experience, but pretty much every home phone number out there is in all sorts of databases, that’s why you get all those annoying telemarketing calls. But cell phone numbers do not work the same as home phone numbers. Cell phone numbers are supposed to be considered more private by the phone company, so they don’t appear in phonebooks or the central database. That’s why sites that actually have good databases chargefees for their servics. They are simply passing along the cost of pulling all that information together and putting it into a searchable format for you to use. After much study and examination, I’m of the opinion that there really is no such thing as a free reverse lookup site. Many sites claim to be free, but in fact only suck in people and then reveal their fees at the last moment. That’s not a fair way to do business. Of all the sites I’ve looked at, I think the ones with simple fee structures are best. The only caveat to that, is that you should pick a site that allows you to check and see if the information you need is in their database before paying. You may also want to consider using a service that offers subscription pricing. Those sites are usually the best value overall. Once you’ve decided on the site you want to use, the process is really easy and even a little fun. All you do is put in the number you’re looking for and in under a minute you’ll have exactly what you’re looking for, the name and address of the person you’re looking for. In addition, there’s one service I know of that actually gives you a map to the person’s location. It’s just not going to get easier than that. To summarize, if you need to find the name of an unknown caller, a reverse cell phone lookup site will give you exactly what you need with speed and accuracy, as long as you choose a reputable site.
